The heat is on

Today, my mom presented me with this container of vitamin gummies that she bought for us to share.
We were pretty excited to open it because, let's be real...sometimes it's about the little things in life! Unfortunately, they had been forgotten in the car to fend for themselves against the Florida summer heat...

As a result, they melted down from gummies into a container full of goo. We laughed so hard as I tried to scrape the goo out with a knife onto a dixie plate. I thought to myself...
'We can salvage this! When your gummies turn to goo, make something new.' We laughed even more, convinced we had come up with a better version of the saying "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade." As far as we were concerned, our "lemons" had taken on an entirely new form. With that, I was convinced we could bring the gummies back to life by cutting and sculpting new ones.

Now, I did try....

.... but the gummies were past the point of no return.

Why am I telling you this?
Not only because I'm easily amused (it's true), but because it's scenarios like this that remind me of how exciting and unpredictable life is. There are seasons when it's best to wait, and seasons when it's the right moment to take action. And sometimes, when life feels like we're dealing with a table full of scattered puzzle pieces waiting to be assembled (or melted vitamin gummies in a jar)...we must think beyond what we can see before us and consider creating an entirely new path for ourselves; somewhere we had never considered going before. So I encourage you... Don't sweat it!
Choose a new direction, tie that hair back, and run with it!
